About Baking Weights

Baking Weights is a small, independent reference site that answers one question well: how much does a cup of a given baking ingredient weigh?

Where the numbers come from. Every grams-per-cup value is taken from a published reference — currently the King Arthur Baking ingredient weight chart — and the source is cited on each page. Other amounts (tablespoons, teaspoons, ounces, fractions of a cup) are calculated from that single value. We never make up numbers.
